At Shiloh, we have a simple hope: to see people come to know Jesus Christ and grow in their Christian faith. For 85 years, Shiloh has been helping spread the Gospel here in the City of Bridgeport and throughout the world. We pray that the Lord will continue to use this ministry to impact, influence, and enhance the World by serving as a change agent for God and Christ through the unction of the Holy Spirit as we submit to His Will and to His Way.
Whether you have been walking with the Lord for awhile or you would like to get to know Him, we hope you'll join us on Sunday, if you are looking for a church to welcome you!
When you come to join us for the first time, one of our greeters will be glad to assist you. If you would like, they will help you find the fellowship hall for a continental breakfast before service, the restrooms, sanctuary and anything else you may require.
During the service, you will hear our faith expressed in the songs we sing, prayers we offer up and our Pastor's preaching. All parts of our service are grounded in the Bible, which we are committed to upholding.
What We Believe
At Shiloh, we believe in God the Father, we believe in Jesus Christ the Son, and we believe in the Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ died for us and has given us new life. We believe in His crucifixion and that Christ has risen from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father. We also believe He is coming back again for His bride the Church. Romans 10:9: "If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord", and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." 1John 8-10: "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins , He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make Him out to be a liar and His Word is not in us."
Our Purpose
God calls us to be a loving, giving and forgiving fellowship of Christ-centered and Spirit-led ambassadors. We are commissioned to declare God's Truth through teaching, studying, sharing, and living His Word. In doing so, we grow together in unity, through prayer, exhortation and serving one another, as we worship the Lord with Joy!
After the service, join us for fellowship and give us a chance to get to know each other. Say hello to our Pastor and anyone else you see. We would all love to hear your story and share ours with you.
At Shiloh , you will find God's Principle of Individuality welcoming. Each person is uniquely created by God and a blessing to the Lord and to others! We welcome everyone to join us, including you! Our services start with a continental breakfast at 8 AM, consecration in prayer at 8:15 and praise and worship at nine every Sunday.
