Rev. Gwendolyn McNair Anderson
Rev. Gwen McNair Anderson is a life-long resident of Bridgeport, CT. She is a graduate from
W.H.H.S.. She earned an Executive Secretarial degree from the Stone School of Business, an
Associates Degree in Business Management from Albertus Magnus College and a 4-year
Certificate of Completion for the Connecticut Institute of Christian Religion.
Rev. Anderson is employed at the Southern Connecticut Gas Company, where she has worked in
various positions over her 45-year tenure. Rev. Anderson is an Associate Minister at Shiloh
Baptist Church and has held many leadership positions in the church, which have enabled her to serve and
touch the lives of many people in the City of Bridgeport and throughout the state.
Rev. Anderson is a dedicated leader, devoted to serving women in the community. She has served faithfully over the decades to bring the Word of God to women, which is the true, transforming Power in ALL lives. As a mentor/instructor she equips and empowers women with the knowledge needed for literacy and other necessary support systems that help women to become successful, independent and in turn give back to those in need. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Faith Community Development Corp as Secretary. F.C.D.C. has an array of programs created to empower, enhance, and engage community awareness and improve livelihood.
Rev. Anderson is the owner and visionary of Gala Events by Gwen. She has been successful in hosting various events over the decades, particularly the Annual Black History Month Tribute event which highlights not only Black History, but the local talent in the community. She is dedicated and focused on educating and enhancing the lives of others. Rev. Anderson is a proud Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother who loves her family, community and Jesus. She is firmly rooted and grounded in family and Spiritual values, which she instills in the foundation of her family.
